AG Insurance finetunes digital skills thanks to Xylos trainers

AG Insurance wants to gear its employees up for the future. The right digital skills are essential to keep up with technological developments. They have teamed up with Xylos as a long-term partner to provide hands-on IT training.

AG Insurance is Belgium’s largest insurance company and has been serving customers for almost 200 years with a wide range of products, from life insurance to car insurance.

The challenge | Taking digital skills to the next level

AG Insurance attaches great importance to improving the digital skills of its employees. That’s why they chose Xylos Learning as their long-term partner in 2020.

The process | A wide range for all audiences

Every year, AG Insurance creates an open calendar with a wide range of IT training courses, such as Excel and Power BI. Any employee can register for these courses. Initially, the company organized classroom training, but since the COVID-19 pandemic, the courses are also available digitally. And employees appreciate that: they lose less time because they no longer have to travel. In addition, the subject – IT applications – lends itself very well to being taught and followed online.

The Xylos IT trainers assisted in various programs. For example, AG Insurance started a large training program on Microsoft Teams in 2021. The Xylos trainers defined the content of the training courses together with the project managers.

They have created trainings for basic users or beginners, for advanced users, for project staff, for Teams leads, and so on. Each training takes about 2.5 hours. Each of the supporting PowerPoint slides also included a link to relevant videos on OASE, Xylos’ Microsoft 365 video learning platform. The combination provided a solid knowledge anchor.

The result | Interactive training by real experts

Participants’ reactions speak volumes about the success of these trainings. The most common feedback? The training was clear and applicable to the company’s practices. 

They also enjoyed the interaction and the many exercises. As for the trainers, participants appreciated their humor, patience, and expertise in Microsoft 365 applications.
