AG Insurance is the largest Belgian insurance company, supporting customers for almost 200 years with a wide range of products, from life insurance to roadside assistance.
The challenge | Taking digital skills to the next level
AG Insurance places great importance on continuously improving its employees' digital skills. That's why, in 2020, they chose Xylos Learning as a long-term partner.
The process | A broad offering for every audience
Every year, AG Insurance draws up an open calendar with a wide range of IT training courses, such as Excel and Power BI. Every employee can sign up. Initially, the insurer organized the training sessions in a classroom setting. Since the COVID-19 pandemic, they've also been held digitally, which employees really appreciate: they lose less time since they no longer need to travel. What's more, the subject matter — IT applications — lends itself very well to being taught and followed online.
Xylos's IT trainers contributed to various programs. For instance, in 2021, AG Insurance launched a major training program around Microsoft Teams. The Xylos trainers worked out the content of the courses together with the project leads.
There was training for basic users or beginners, for advanced users, for project staff, for Teams leads, and so on. Each session lasted around 2.5 hours. The accompanying PowerPoint slides also always included a link to relevant videos on OASE, Xylos's Microsoft 365 video platform. That combination ensured the knowledge really stuck.

The result | Interactive training from real experts
The participants' feedback speaks volumes and confirms the success of the training. The most common feedback? The training was clear and applied to the organization's real-world practice.
The interaction and numerous exercises were also well received. As for the trainers, participants appreciated their humor, patience, and expertise in Microsoft 365 applications.
