Neuhaus is a renowned chocolate maker that made history in 1912 with the invention of the praline as we know it today. To this day, all Neuhaus chocolate products are made in Belgium and distributed around the world.

Neuhaus opted for renewal and modernization of its hybrid datacenter, on both the hardware and software side. “We were looking for a partner that was big enough to handle our complex situation, but also small enough to offer a personal approach,” says Tom De Naer, IT Infrastructure Manager at Neuhaus. “HPE then put us in touch with Xylos.”

Xylos has now been working with HPE for 25 years and is known for its deep expertise and know-how in HPE products. That strong partnership was recognized with the title of Partner of the Year in 2023. Lucien Dewierdt, Account Manager at HPE, confirms: “We recommended Xylos to Neuhaus because they're a partner of the highest caliber. They know our technology inside and out.”

Xylos virtualized all of Neuhaus's server systems and servers and ensured a seamless migration from their old environment to a new VMware environment, based on HPE Nimble. Werner Leduc, Hybrid Data Center consultant at Xylos, was closely involved in the project. “We also supported Neuhaus with the day-to-day management and optimization of their server infrastructure.”

Tom De Naer is very satisfied with the collaboration: “Everything actually went smoothly, so the implementation period ended up being much shorter than we had originally planned. Thanks to the short lines of communication, we could react very quickly to solve problems as fast as possible. At a certain point, Bart and Werner from Xylos were no longer external partners to us. On the contrary: we worked together like colleagues, and that matters a lot to us.”

Werner from Xylos adds: “We know what we can count on from each other, and who holds which expertise. That leads to a very strong collaboration with a friendly touch.”
