ENTSO-E, the European Network of Transmission System Operators for Electricity, represents 40 members across 36 countries. It’s responsible for the secure and coordinated operation of Europe’s electricity system, the largest interconnected electrical grid in the world.
The challenge | Eliminating spreadsheets
ENTSO-E sought a modern, secure, and efficient way to manage HR data. Their reliance on Excel files made processes slow, inconsistent, and difficult to scale. The organization needed a centralized platform that could standardize HR data collection, enhance security, and enable real-time reporting.
The solution | Implementing a scalable HR data solution
To create a future-proof HR data platform, we started with business analysis and technical workshops to align reporting needs, data structures, and application functionalities.
We implemented Microsoft Fabric as the central data platform, ensuring efficient data processing and seamless reporting. To enhance data management, we developed a custom low-code application in Power Apps, enabling a more intuitive and structured way to handle employee data.
Integration with external HR providers like Partena and BCS-ePowerHR was achieved through custom-built APIs, allowing automated and secure data exchange.
Additionally, we established a Medallion Architecture to structure data collection and transformation, ensuring high-quality, standardized datasets. Automated data pipelines and orchestration were implemented to streamline ingestion and processing, reducing manual intervention.
Throughout the project, we followed an agile, multidisciplinary approach, collaborating closely with both technical and business teams to ensure seamless adoption and long-term scalability.
