Neuhaus is a renowned manufacturer of chocolate that made history in 1912 by inventing the praline as we know it today. To this day, all Neuhaus chocolate products are made in Belgium and distributed throughout the world.
The challenge | A personal approach to a complex situation
Neuhaus needed to renew and modernize its hybrid data center, both in terms of hardware and software. “We were looking for a partner that was big enough to handle our complex situation, but also small enough to offer a personal approach,” says Tom De Naer, IT Infrastructure Manager at Neuhaus. “So, HPE put us in touch with Xylos.”
Xylos has been working with HPE for 25 years and is known for its extensive expertise and know-how in the field of HPE products. Our strong partnership was rewarded with the title of Partner of the Year in 2023. The process | Virtualize, optimize, manage
Xylos virtualized all server systems and servers at Neuhaus, and ensured a flawless migration from the old environment to a new VMware environment based on HPE Nimble. Werner Leduc, Hybrid Data Center Consultant at Xylos, was closely involved in the project. “We also supported Neuhaus in the day-to-day management and optimization of their server infrastructure.”
The result | Flawless implementation thanks to close cooperation
Tom De Naer is very pleased with the collaboration: “Everything went so smoothly that the implementation time was much shorter than we had originally planned. Thanks to the short lines of communication, we were able to react very quickly to solve problems as quickly as possible. From a certain point on, Bart and Werner from Xylos were no longer external consultants for us. On the contrary: we worked together like colleagues, and that is very important to us.”
Werner from Xylos adds: “We know each other’s value, and who has what expertise. That leads to a very strong collaboration with a friendly touch.”
