Modero streamlines communication with SharePoint and Teams

As Modero expanded as a company, the need for cohesive communication became apparent. Through strategic distinction between static and dynamic communication channels and a seamless integration of SharePoint Intranet and Teams, Modero achieved newfound efficiency and a thriving corporate culture.

The customer | Modero

Modero is a fast-growing company offering a wide range of legal services. It is the only national network of bailiff offices in Belgium.

The challenge | Getting everybody on the same page

As Modero experienced rapid growth, the company faced several challenges:

  • Lack of uniformity and efficiency in terms of internal communication
  • Insufficient variety of tools used for communication and collaboration
  • Lack of a clear organizational culture due to rapid growth and many new people

With many different profiles working within the organization, there were large differences in the communication needs and the way the tools were used.

Joos Van Goethem, Marketing and Communication Manager at Modero, was well aware of the challenges and contacted Xylos.

The process | Distinctive communication with functional, inviting tools

Together with the Xylos solution consultants, Joos started looking for the best way to tackle this problem. They soon came up with a distinction between static and dynamic communication. Static communication has a permanent character and is important for everyone, while dynamic communication is only relevant for a short time and can change daily. Because of the distinction between these two forms of communication, it seemed logical to choose a different medium for each form.

By using different channels depending on the type of communication, the organization was able to refocus. The existing intranet and Teams environments were integrated into a single environment. Within this environment, communication is divided: the static communication through the SharePoint Intranet, the dynamic communication through Teams.

Since the (re)building of a corporate culture was an important factor in this story, the focus was not only on the functional aspect of the environment. The tool should also be inviting to use. The new Teams environment became a platform for colleagues to get to know each other better. It lowers the threshold for asking advice and reduces email traffic.

The result | A stronger corporate culture

Thanks to the new Teams and Sharepoint environment, Modero has become more efficient and the company is working on its organizational culture on a daily basis. Employees have a clearer view of priority and secondary communication, and they no longer have to deal with large amounts of email traffic.
